Why invest in the next generation?

Because they need you.

Your example reveals what loving God looks like. No degrees are required for this, and no special gifting is necessary. It’s simply God using your influence.

D. L. Moody had this figured out:

Moody’s boundless confidence in the younger generation, his outpouring of energy and time on those under twenty-five years old, was purposeful, brilliant, and extremely effective. His commitment to calling and equipping the younger generation should be an example and impetus to us. (from A Passion for Souls: The Life of D. L. Moody, page 26).

Whether you’re a colleague, neighbor, parent, or go to the same church, God will use your influence.

I’m a husband and father, follower of Jesus Christ, and member of the Moody Publishers team. I've worked with gifted authors and their books for thirty-plus years, and I believe the local church is where we become the kind of people who reveal what Jesus is like. Since this is my personal blog, the views and opinions expressed herein are my own, not those of my employer. However — books, publishing, the work of the church, and learning to follow Jesus are central to my daily experience, so that's what this blog is about. Thanks for visiting! Paul
