Hurricanes arrive long before their arrival. The National Hurricane Center keeps vigil, tracking all threats before they get close. So do the news and weather channels, social media platforms, and every state and county in the path of the storm.
This is called love. It’s those who know caring for the rest of us who don’t. It’s describing the future on behalf of all who can’t see that far. If I wouldn’t pitch my tent on a beach in the path of a hurricane, “loving my neighbor” compels me to warn him not to do so either.
The “hurricane” of death will eventually make landfall in each of our lives. The way to enter Heaven with Jesus, and our parents, grandparents, and friends who spoke to us about loving God, is simple. Ask Jesus to pay the penalty for your sin, and follow His teaching and example the rest of your days. It will be worth it!
