Tucked in a nice neighborhood of lush lawns, mature trees, and trimmed shrubbery, there’s one home that’s gone wild. An unkempt lawn, a rotting shed, a rusted swing set with one bent leg, and all the leaves and twigs from last year’s major storm. It looks abandoned.
You ride by thinking, even if they don’t care about their own yard, they should at least care for the sake of the neighbors. What’s up with people like that?
Now that’s a good question. What’s is up with those people? Are they aged? Incapacitated? Blind? Or maybe a widow working double shifts to pay for her husband’s drawn-out Alzheimer’s journey? Opinions are best formed by combining truth with love. Truth for clarity and love for charity. Even if the owners are capable people who simply don’t care, stick with love. It’s the pathway to friendship.
