Howard Hendricks is a legendary name in evangelical circles. A famous prof from Dallas Theological Seminary, he trained countless pastors, spoke at conferences, and wrote books for sixty-plus years.

He once told a group of students that the folks who led him to Christ never mentioned the Bible. When he asked what he was supposed to do with it they said it didn’t matter. “Pick it up and read anything you want — it’s all holy.”
