One day you and Jesus Christ will meet face to face. During that encounter you will kneel before Him and acknowledge that He is God (Philippians 2:9-11).
What’s the best way to prepare for that day? Make sure it’s not the first time you meet Him. Get to know Jesus Christ right now, a little each day. We have a written record of His life and can learn about Him the same way His disciples did — by following Him around.
Let’s do that. We’ll follow Jesus through the four Gospels, walking in His steps. This is important for two reasons. First, knowing Jesus is the point of being a Christian (Christ-follower). Jesus said, “I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing” (John 15:5 nasb). Second, if you want to know someone you spend time together. To be on the swim team you need to get in the pool.
So let’s follow Jesus. We’ll start with the very first thing written about His story — Luke 1:1-4.
